Guidelines
43rd Annual Cowboy Homecoming Parade

The parade takes place rain or shine. Only a significant
act of nature will cancel the parade, of which all units will
be notified. If for some reason your parade entry will not
be in the parade we would greatly appreciate being
notified prior to the event.

All entry forms must be completed and returned to the
Chamber of Commerce office prior to August 1, 2008.

Entries requiring vehicles to carry sound systems must
notify parade organizers on the application. Please
remember that NO articles whatsoever  may be thrown,
handed or passed from any float or vehicle.(gum, candy,
beads, flyers, etc.)

Entrants not complying with these rules may not be invited
back for future parades.

Because this is an election year, we have researched
Parade etiquette and we were told that rank of
government determines the line up in a parade... for
example – a governor would have preference over a
senator and a senator over a city official.

We ask that if you are an elected official and you are
interested in taking part in our parade you notify us on
your entry form so that we can place you according to
rank.

All parade entry
forms must be
returned to the
Chamber of
Commerce office by
August 1, 2008.

Forms may be hand
delivered to:
605 2nd St. Pleasanton,
between the hours of
9 am and 3 pm or

mailed to:
PO Box 153,
Pleasanton, TX, 78064
The 2008 Parade will start at 10am at the corner of Orts St. and Bryant St. However the first numbered
float will begin at the corner of Orts and Long St. The floats will continue to line up behind one another
down Long St., down Blue Bonnet Dr., down Grant St. etc. Every entry will have a number, and we would
appreciate it if the bands and mounted groups would line up with the floats so that everyone can get
judged.  Any entrants not in the line up will not get judged.

Watch this website for updates
on parade and for a listing of all parade entrants
and numbers in line up.
